Covington Lodge No. 171, A.F. & A.M.

Covington Lodge No. 171 was granted its charter on December 15, 1858. The first officers were:

Henry H. Robinson                             Worshipful Master

D. H. Sampson                                    Senior Warden

George Wilson Hammond                  Junior Warden

Henry H. Robertson was an attorney at law and a native of Augusta County, Virginia and George Wilson Hammond, was a physician.

The Lodge purchased land in 1979 and completed a new brick building and occupied it in 1980, with the property being debt free in 1988.
