Mentow Lodge No. 180, A.F. & A.M.

                                                            Huddleston, Virginia

 

Mentow Lodge No. 180 was chartered on December 4, 1902. The officers were:

 

W. W. Pollard             Worshipful Master

R. E. Fore                                Senior Warden

C. D. Burnette                                    Junior Warden

 

The Lodge was first held over Pollards Store in Wade, Virginia.

 

The new Lodge was built across from Waltons Store in 1950. W. H. Walton and L. Campbell gave the land. The cornerstone was laid on March 4, 1950.

 

Mr. Harry Hillsman was the first candidate in the old Lodge and his son, J. D. Hillsman was the first candidate in the new Lodge.
