Your line originated in the Duchy of Saxe-Meiningen, in the town of Schweina, on the southern edge of the Thuringian Forest, where Bernard August Baumbach left for the United States in 1872. Schweina and Finsterbergen are only about 40 km apart. Have you been able to document earlier generations of your Baumbachs?
